Draft Horse Digest Podcast – Ep 25 – County Fair Americana

Nancy Smith Bellor joins us for Episode 25 to reminisce about the county fair culture of yesteryear and how we can perpetuate it in the modern draft horse industry.  Nancy discusses how county fairs have historically been the grass roots of the draft horse community and have helped to perpetuate the industry.  We discuss how county fairs can be stepping stones into the industry, provide a warm up show for larger competitions and create an unrivaled atmosphere of collaboration and comradery.  Nancy shares her opinion of some of the pitfalls the draft horse industry can avoid to further participation levels and new exhibitor outreach, as we move into the future.
